ESCROWSURE began its journey as a franchise of the renowned Escrow Europe Group, originally founded in the Netherlands in 1989. In 2003, Escrow Europe (Pty) Ltd was established in South Africa, bringing trusted international software escrow expertise to local markets.
Following a strategic share acquisition transaction in 2010, the company transitioned into a wholly owned, South African registered and incorporated business—rebranding as ESCROWSURE.
Today, ESCROWSURE stands as the leading provider of software escrow services in South Africa. With over two decades of experience, we have built deep-rooted partnerships across the financial, insurance, legal, and public sectors, safeguarding mission-critical software assets through robust, ISO-certified solutions.

We are members of the Institute of Directors (IoDSA), the Business Continuity Institute (BCI), ISACA and CITI, to name some of the more prominent associations and professional bodies. In South Africa, we are the thought leaders in the field of professional escrow services and were instructed by the IoD and the King Commission to co-author professional escrow guidelines for South African directors and officers.
